eBay sellers will benefit greatly from applications that keep track of the visitors that check out their item auctions. Sellathon, a developer of online tools for online auction sites, has an application called ViewTracker. It provides real-time information about visitors. A seller will know how visitors get to his page, as well as the time and date. Other auction counters provide only the number of visitors per page. ViewTracker gives you more relevant data that sellers can use to their advantage. It is currently used by thousands of Powersellers in eBay.
Using ViewTracker is very easy. Sellers need to insert the unique tracking code, which is provided by the tool, to their online auctions in eBay. This code has two purposes. First, it produces a counter that will be placed at the bottom part of auction. You have the option to hide this counter if you don’t it appearing in your listings. Second, the code allows data on visitors to be sent to your account. Aside from the data mentioned above, other information that a seller will receive include the number of bids, current price, and the visitor’s high bidder ID.
Sellathon offers three basic plans where sellers can choose to access the data they need. The Basic Plan allows sellers to track up to 25 listings. The advance plan provides tracking for up to 250 listings while the Enterprise Plan provides tracking for unlimited number of listings. Both small and enterprise sellers can avail of Sellathon’s plans.
Keeping track of your data through Sellathon’s ViewTracker allows you to view information in three different ways:
- Through Account Overview. Sellers will be able to view the number of lists that you are tracking, the number of unique visitors that the listings get, the number of bids per listing, and the value of those bids, among other things.
- Through Detailed Visitor Log. This feature logs every hit that your listing gets. You will know how long and how often they visit your site.
- Through other analytical views. You will know who’s really interested in your listing or site by checking out the visits grouped by the hour or by day of the week.
As an eBay seller, you will get both data on individual and group listings. Information provided here include the most active time of the day or week, most common sorts, top search items used, and searches with titles and descriptions.
ViewTracker also has this feature called Snipe Hunter, which sends alert notifications to sellers when a potential buyer is planning to do a last-second bid on a listing. These so-called snipe bidders place very late bids so that other interested bidders will not have the chance to respond to the last bid.
ViewTracker by Sellathon is a great tool for those who rely mostly on eBay for their source of livelihood. In order to improve their sales, sellers need in-depth data in order to make important decisions when it comes to marketing their products. They can use the data provided by ViewTracker to attract new visitors and retain existing ones. The application allows sellers to use all the available data for their advantage.
